The Collection
Welcome to the Medical Collection in Bern.
The Medical Collection in Bern comprises around 10,000 inventoried objects. They belong to two collections: The museum-based collection of the Inselspital-Stiftung (a foundation) and the collection of the Institute for the History of Medicine of the University of Bern. They come from the Inselspital, nursing schools, private medical practices, smaller hospitals or university teaching and cover the 19th and 20th centuries.
